Printhead/Roller Cleaning Precautions
1. Power Off Safety
Instructions: Always turn off the printer and unplug the power cord before cleaning. Then open the cover to begin the operation.
2. Prevent Burns:
Instructions: The printhead is very hot after printing. Allow it to cool for 3 minutes before cleaning to prevent burns.
3. Cleaning Tools and Media:
Instructions: Only use alcohol wipes or a dedicated printer cleaning pen. Never use water to clean the printhead.
4. Wiping Requirements:
Instructions: When wiping the thermal printhead, wipe from the center outwards.
5. Drying Requirements:
Instructions: After cleaning, allow the printhead to dry completely for 2 minutes before closing the cover and turning on the machine.
6. Roller Maintenance:
Instructions: Regularly clean the surface of the rollers to remove dust and paper scraps. Failure to clean regularly can lead to problems such as excessive printing noise and paper getting caught in the rollers.
