When replacing your wireless router or updating its network configurations (such as SSID, Wi-Fi password, or security settings), all connected devices—including computers, smartphones, tablets, and printers—must be re-configured to establish a connection with the updated network.

Step 1: Verify Host Device Internet Connection

Prior to reconfiguring the printer, verify that your computer or smartphone/tablet can connect to the internet through the new wireless router.

  • If internet access is unavailable on your PC or smartphone, verify that the new router setup is completed and that the host device is properly authenticated.

Step 2: Reset Printer Network & Re-establish Connection

1. Reset Network Settings:

Press and hold the Wi-Fi Reset Button for approximately 5 seconds, then release it immediately after hearing 2 beeps. The indicator light alternating between blue and green confirms that the Wi-Fi reset has completed successfully.

Step 3: Advanced Troubleshooting for Router Security Settings

If communication issues persist after performing a network reset, inspect the following router access control and security parameters:

1. MAC / IP Address Filtering Restriction Check

If MAC or IP address filtering is activated on your wireless router, network access will be blocked by default. Ensure that the printer's MAC address or assigned IP address is added to the router's allowed list (whitelist).

2. Wi-Fi Password and Authentication Matching

When connecting using WPA, WPA2, or WPA3 security protocols, the dynamic encryption key, passkey format, and authentication method MUST match identically across the wireless router, host computer, and printer.

3. Encryption Mode Synchronization After Settings Update

If you alter the encryption type (e.g., updating security from WPA2 to WPA3 or changing passphrase rules) on the router, communication with the printer will be severed until the exact updated encryption method and matching credentials are configured on your computer and printer.
