1. Thermal Paper Inverted

Fault Description: Thermal paper only displays color when heated on the side with the thermal coating. If the non-coated side faces the printhead, the device will only feed paper and will not print text.

Solution: Ensure the thermal printing side of the label is facing the printhead. A simple way to identify this is to scratch the paper with your fingernail; the side that leaves a black scratch is the thermal printing side. Reload the paper in the correct orientation.

2. Incorrect Consumables, Using Non-Thermal Paper

Fault Description: Using ordinary paper or thermal transfer paper prevents the printhead from heating up and displaying color.

Solution: Replace with qualified thermal label paper and test. We recommend purchasing JADENS brand thermal paper for use.

3. Power Adapter Malfunction

Fault Description: Insufficient power supply; the printhead cannot reach its operating temperature.

Solution: Use the original adapter for your model; rule out inferior power supplies.

4. Printhead Hardware Damage

Fault Description: After cleaning and replacing consumables, the self-test page remains completely blank; the printhead heating element is damaged.

Solution: Contact customer service (support@jadens.com) for assistance.
